Actually Dear, Your father was "a Salesman" by

I had a bit of fun with this, I took it last week at a 40’s re-enactment and I just liked the look of this guy dressed as a “Spiv”.. So I then thought, what if someone was questioning their mother about their father, who they had never met and didn’t hear much about, and what if they asked to see a photo of him. So I gave the image a sepia look and added a couple of textures, to try to recreate a 40’s snapshot and this is the result, hope you like it.

LOL! What a marvellous work, Brian, and a great title! He looks like a right chancer. Haven’t heard the word “Spiv” in donkey’s years!

  • Thanks a lot Mike, chancer is a good word for him, I like that, Brian

  • Thanks a lot AuntDot, I think they were golf shoes as I had to clone the studs off, Brian

Marvellous work Brian!! yes he is definitely a posh spiv, but he has a great character air about him, reminds me a little of James Cagney…wonderful work!!

  • Thank you Kate, yes I can see the Cagney in him, he was quite a character.
