Flash Fiction and Short stories - Spherical ScriptingsAmos had a strategy. After his pejorative experiences, once being rejected by Sally “Peanut Face” Foretti, he knew times were desperate.
With manipulative cunning, and an I-pod he could synch pick-up lines to, the 76 pound freshman had sure-fire lines fed directly to his ear.
3pm, Jessica was on her way.
Thumbing the controls he opened the file marked “Sensual.”
His uncertain but promising future appeared.
“Hello Jessie.”
He began, removing spittle with an inward breath. Blocking her path he pressed play and began to repeat the words with confidence.
“You wanna play house sometime?”
“What?”
“House? You be the door and I’ll slam you . . . when I’m drunk?”
In a moment he knew his brother had penetrated the machine.
Jessica stared expressionless.
Knowing she should slap Amos but having no experience with the action she hesitated, then punched him in the face.

oh callow yoof. relient on tech seduction and **ard brothers! Very funny tale. My only small problem is that you changed POV right at the end and I’m afraid that threw me.

Thanks, you know i’ve got a thing with perspective shifts. I think it comes from watching Master Piece Theater and wanting to be Alistair Cooke at the end of the film.
