Andy Hall

Leeds, United Kingdom

I have had not formal trianing in photography: just a keen interest and a lot of patience. / Comments and critisisms are appreciated, but...

My name is Andy Hall, I live in Leeds (ENGLAND). Most of my spare time is spent with friends; taking photographs (mostly along the Leeds and Liverpool canal or in a small home studio) and making indy movies.

In 2007 I started taking live models and I would like to thank each of my models and everyone else who has helped me practice.

A lot of my recent shoots have contains nude shots. This started off as a laugh with one of my friends asking for shots of her tattoos, but has since blown up into a common request. I am A-sexual and try to capture a nice image, but never try to sexualize my models. The shoots are always collaborative and some of the shots are the ideas of the models.

I have 6 digital SLR cameras:
1 – A Nikon D40 (Known as Nigel) bought as a collective present from my family for Christmas in 2008 and I love the outcome of some of this images, however I never really thought that they were good enough to broadcast until a few of my friends encouraged my to. I love the camera, and now lend it to firends who would like to start up in photography.

2 – Nikon D50. (Known as Neil) Given to me by a friend. A fantastic camera, and I can’t believe I have friends like that!

3 – Olympus E510. (Known as Oliver) Given to me by my Dad. He bought it, then realised that its not a “Point and shoot” camera. He wasn’t going to use it, so I “INHERITED” it.

4 – A Nikon D60. I bought this from a friend. Sadly it’s damaged, and will now cost more to fix than replace.

5 – A Nikon D5100. (Known as Nicholas). Bought as a second angle/backup for the D7000.

6 – Which brings me to the Nikon D7000 that I bought myself. I love this camera. “She” has been named “Nikki” by a friend (Danny Young), and “She” is my baby.

I am lucky enough to work next to the Leeds and Liverpool canal. I love some of the sights, and really enjoy my time on there.

I hope that you like what you see too.

Are you Lucky?

My dearest redbubblers… / It dawned on me a couple of days ago that you are the luckiest people on the planet. I would like to explain why… / I speak here as a photographer, but this does not exclude any of the other forms of artists. / In the past 12 months, I have photographed: A Muslim wedding, an Aqiqa, a family party, my nieces birthday party (5 years old), a skateboard park and strol…
