The Mirror Lies

The mirror lies
The me I see
Is not the me
I think I be
I try to squish
I hope and wish
But still I see
Another me
Than who I be
That’s just not me
The me I know
Is lovely so
How could this be
The me I see?
My me is taut
Her stomach’s prim
My me is tall
She’s oh so slim
My me has curves
But nothing sags
And my me still
Has killer legs
But my me’s gone
I don’t know where
And all she left
Is killer hair.

Artist's Description

I’m feeling a little disenchanted with my post-childbearing body today. And, apparently, I’m channeling Dr Seuss. So here is Dr Seuss on saggy bits. :))
