Keegan - Graduation Portrait by

This portrait of young Keegan was a gift from his mother Juli for his graduation. Juli is an amazing artist whose work I adore (see her work here on RB), so when Juli asked me to create a graduation portrait of Keegan I was thrilled to do so in exchange for one of her beautiful paintings. Juli supplied me with photos of Keegan and several images taken by Keegan during his trip overseas. The brief was to create a portrait with an “otherworldly” feel, so I used elements of the photos supplied and combined them with my own resources (including an Apohysis “moon” fractal and many different textures) into a surreal landscape to create the otherworldly backdrop for Keegan. The “boy in the moon” is Keegan on his first day of school.

Proudly New Zealand made. :)

We all absolutely love this print Tara! Thanks so much for creating it! Keegan will always have this print as a reminder of his wonderful trip to Spain that was a momentous way to end his high school year at Clark Montessori. The final touch of little Keegan in the moon was a connection to the beginning of his journey he started when he was 6. Thanks again:) XX
