Profile
My name is Tara, I’m a Dutch Kiwi, having spent my childhood in The Netherlands and the last 20-odd years in beautiful Aotearoa (New Zealand). I’m a wife and mother, a singer and songwriter as well as a visual artist. My favourite style of visual art to create (at the moment) is fantasy fine art composites. I pride myself on using only my own resources for the majority of my own work, except where I’ve used an image supplied by a friend to create a portrait of said friend, and on a rare occasion, a Photoshop brush (always properly credited of course). Recently I’ve also become fascinated with Macro photography, having bought a new Canon Powershot A480 camera in June which has a wonderful Super Macro mode, so you will find many macro photos in my portfolio as well.
I am entirely self-taught and have only been taking photos since Aug 2008, and first discovered the joys of Photoshop only towards the end of 2008 so I am a beginner in the truest sense of the word! :) That said, I have been drawing all my life and have always been the creative, artsy type so it is very much a part of me.
