Yeah.. there are some awesome shapes that come out of the flames. I’m going to a cane fire tonight with my new camera.. so hopefully i will get a few decent shots. Its becoming a rare occasion theses days.. haha.. the fire that is ;-)
i will look for them. cant wait to see them. So what is your new camera? If you dont mind me asking.
I managed to get a few, but had to work on sharpening them up.. still getting used to the SLR. Its a Sony a900 24.6mp .. great camera and pretty good value for what its worth.
Oh how I miss the burning cane…..thanks for the memory
Thanks Jacquie :-) ..did you live up this way?
Tanya, I used to live in Nambour, Queensland, from our house on the top of the hill we overlooked the cane fields and often enjoyed sitting with a cold one and watching the flames. Of course the mill has gone in Nambour as well now.
WOW factor and an instant fave! Love your work Tanya. I can see two dragons about to attack each other. Robyn :)
Thanks so much Robyn.. i really appreciate your comments!.. and yes, I can see the 2 dragons as well! :D I am always amazed by the different shapes that come out of these fires.
Incredible capture, it really portrays the ferocity of this fire
Thank you Linda! :)
Wow! This is quite possibly the best image i have ever seen of a fire of any description!
Thanks Chris!.. these cane fires are quite rare these days… they are huge!.. like several metres high, but over in no time at all. :)
