I love this -the title is perfect as well. I could be the woman on the bench and you wouldn’t be able to see my tears. Beautiful Tania.

  • Happy you like it Shelly!

Nice feel, asymmetric use of space, and the beauty of the feminine and the sea.

  • Thanks Jack!

We look at the woman and the sand and the sea and we say beautiful, beautiful … then we see the graffitti and maybe by reflex we say ugly, ugly. The bench is defaced, that’s awful. But it’s a heart, someone loves someone, that’s beautiful. Well, maybe. The bench is still defaced. The woman on the bench can’t see the graffitti so what’s the problem? But we ourselves can see the graffitti and we’re caught between two feelings about it, and therefore about the whole scene. Which is to say this picture pushes all the right buttons, for me at least.

  • lol….love when you get all stimulated by an image….that means alot…i want this to stir you up a bit….
