Sir Pringleton Pea

A memorial portrait of my friend’s cat, Ringo, also known as Sir Pringleton Pea, or La Pea (cats need several names), which I have painted as a wedding present.
I have tried to apply, in this painting, the things I have learned from the work of the amazing Al Neaimi.
The photograph, unfortunately, does not capture the effects of the metallic golds and coppers I have used in the painting – particularly all the pale gold tips I have added to the hair, which from certain angles, give a shimmering, sunlit effect.
Happy to accept any cat portrait commissions.

yeah cats are special, and kind of mysterious. this is what i was trying to convey with the whole background thing…shredder is a great name for a kitty. : )

was! so it did the usual thing and transmogrified into a badger?
i got to get me one soon. my brother has a “norwegan tree climbing cat” -no kidding. it loves water and it jumps so so high. it can easily jump onto your shoulder from the floor in one bound. and its fur is more like sheeps wool -im dead serious. its the coolest cat ive ever seen
