oh god yeah! i had a visitor to my bar tonight – he burst out laughing when he saw it all lit up. your name is always on the door of the Bubble Bar…do you like that as a name?

I’m so happy that people like it Kathi. It was a real marathon, but i learnt a lot that I will apply to my next attempt, and hopefully it won’t take sooooooo long!!! it might still do a teensy bit of tinkering with parts of the hair… “fantabulous” is the nicest compliment i have had in ages! thanks so much. : D

a friend came to visit me last night and I showed it to him, and he kept looking at it, walkig around to view it different lights, walking around the room to view it in different ways. he said he thought he would need a week to really look at it properly! so come as often as you wish…very pleased to know that you are getting something out of this. makes me very happy. : D

and you have made my week Al! you have brought so many new people to see my work today. but most of all, it is your praise and encouragement that honours me. your inspiration has taken me in a new direction, and your encouragement has urged me to take this idea even further. it is my dream to one day reach the level of artistry that you occupy.

i really appreciate your comments Douglas. yeah the whole process has been really interesting (frustrating at times too!), but i feel i am getting closer to knowing how to get the effect i want without taking forever to get there…that’s my whole attitude to art, trial and error, working out how to do things – there’s nothing more satisfying than working things out like that.

yeah, i think you’re right – the colouring would work well there! but you know i have this whole minimalist thing going on there – apart from all the lights and stuff. the one pic i do have up is a signed photo of Peter Wyngarde (tv’s Jason King)...he is the spiritual patron of my bar…

thanks amanda. yes, patience is required for sure. once you work out how to do it it becomes like a colouring in exercise, but obvioulsy much more satisfying… : D
