OBJECTS HAVE FEELİNGS TOO...
i ve been wanting to do this project for so long!!! i think we all get attached to certain objects (at least i do) and think that they have feelings too – and if we throw them or replace them with new ones that they ll get hurt .))
so hopefully this will be a begining of a serious – and would love to know what u guys think – and even give me some ideas – what other objects should i do? toys? mob phones? computers? cars? anything a bit more interesting??
i would be extremely happy if anyone wants to share a photo of their fav old object and would be more than happy to add that to the ‘objects have feelings too’ series – so anyone with a camera and a cool idea feel free to drop in a line or email me a high res photo at taneozlu@hotmail.com – im happy to add ur story with the design as well!!!! yeay!!! lets do it!

coolness!...i reckon toasters get a pretty rough deal..they slog away for years and years, then they get replaced by a prettier model :)

hahaha thats so true – im gonna have to find an old toaster and take a photo of it – also have a very old washing machine that doesnt work!! haha .. I even have a funny story about washing machine , I remember when i was a kid we used to have this old washing machine that used to walk everytime it was on – it would seriously move maybe 5 centimetres from where it was before everytime we did washing – it was pretty sad letting that one go! it had so much characther!!! hehehe

Yes! old appliances have so much character and style, mum just got hold of a mix master from a friends deceased estate…bakelite base and everthing.
i remember she had one…ahem years ago when i was little, she says i broke her original but i don`t believe that ;)

I have this pancake maker that makes pancake in the shape of a penguin, I always thought it was the coolest appliance alive but due to laziless it just sits under the cupboard gathering dust… maybe I should go home and resurrect him tonight….

haha thats so cool!!! yeah i always had an obsession for old objects, toys,tins, furniture ets – its funny cause if they had a mouth they will tell us the most amazing stories!! i guess along with horrible ones!! haha the way their owners abuse them and treat them like s..t!! hehehe.. well if u have a good camera and want to share ur pancake maker with me im more than happy add that appliance and make a design for that too!! cause it sounds so odd and interesting!! .)))

Love the idea…I did something similar recently with toys that hang around and build their personalities…or maybe they’re taking on mine! I called the series “Inanimate Dudes”
