Joshua Kevin Adams (born December 10, 1986) is an Australian Ballroom Dancer. Son of Kevin and Donna Adams. Adams also has two older brothers, Paul and Michael who are successful Ballroom Dancers.

Personal life

[citation needed] He attended both schools with long time friend Lincoln Lewis from home and away fame. Adams Currently lives in Brisbane and studies Law at The Queensland University of Technology

Career
Adams started Dancing at the age of 12 learning to dance at a local Parramatta RSL. He was convinced to watch a local dance school train by his cousins. With very little training Adams went onto win the NSW state championship in the beginner level. This created his passion for dance, which would only increase after his family moved interstate where Adams joined a local Dancesport Teacher Michael Bishop, which would be his mentor in the coming years. Bishop introduced Adams to his long time dance partner Jessica Reid, who Adams would have most of his dancing success with. With Bishop and Reid, Adams would go onto win Two National championships, three state championships and three South Pacific Championships.

Comeback
After four years away from the dance floor, Adams has started a new partnership with Lauren Kavanagh a successful Queensland dancer. After only 6 weeks of training together, both Adams and Kavanagh made a successful return to the competition floor regaining the title as the number one Queensland level four new vogue dancers in the state. The couple approached their debut as a learning curve and were extremely surprised at the achievement. The result was helped by new coach and mentor Lin Zimmerman who prepared the couple for the Queensland Open and will continue there mentorship into the National Capital championships in Canberra, Australia.

Charity
Adams has appeared in Three Brisbane Mayors Variety spectaculars for charity, donating his time and money for the local cause. He danced in two consecutive Mayors variety spectaculars in 2003, 2004 and then again in 2006 In 2003 he danced with Jessica Reid in an Audrey Hepburn inspired Modern Waltz to the music of moon river. Adams has also appeared at the 2004 National skating Championships doing a floor show and dance class.
