Artist's Description

Barefoot she walks the forest floor
With each stride she learns some more

Her caress upon a forest leaf
Is always gentle and ever brief

The sounds she has come to know so well
Cast their knowing within her deep, a spell

The brightly colored flowers of spring
Do the most joyous happiness bring

She spends her days and even nights
Connected like sister and without frights

While some in nature may run in fright
Not her, in fair nature she feels just right

She knows the calls, the colors, the codes
And to her, all in nature is fairer than gold

She loves and knows nature so well
She lives as one, in meadow, forest or dale

Her reason and knowing cannot understand
Why toward nature, destructive acts of man

She cannot understand
Destructive acts of man…

Understand…
Acts of man?
