Just a mum of 3 gorgeous boys, often found armed and dangerous with my lovely weapon of choice (Canon 1000D) and its various attachments. Photography is the ultimate hobby for an accessories addict like myself. My camera is pimped out with a multitude of filters, lenses and the like… and then there is the programs and their plugins! HEAVEN!
OH… and I have a web site thingy… Check me out at

pretty please ;) xxx

very good, I like the way the wings disappear into the darkness. This series would be striking in b&w too if you feel like giving it a go..

  • Thanks Mandy. I actually shot the whole lot in RAW and Mono so I saw them in B&W first. I do like them in B&W but the wings tended to “disappear” a bit as they are red, they weren’t white enough to stand out as much as I would have liked. I might upload them in B&W later though and see what others think :)

  • Just uploaded the B&W next to it for comparison… what do you think? :) xx

I like both, but with the b&w if you experiment with the red channel in PS (or whatever editing prog you use) and up the contrast a bit I think that would improve the dullness of the red wings and overall look of the image

  • Thanks for the advice Mandy :) Will give it a go :D

Great in B/W and color. I love those little wings. :-)

  • Thanks Miguel :) The challenge was fortunate timing as far as the wings are concerned as they were bought for my friends fancy dress birthday coming up this weekend :) I love them too :) lol
