Solitaire is a small settlement in central Namibia near the Namib-Naukluft National Park.

Two antiques sit outside and welcome you.

This is where we got a slice of beautiful home made apple pie. It is the most scrumptious pie you will ever eat and I think that is noted even more so due to the fact that you are graced by this delightful taste in the desert. It is fantastically unexpected.

Solitaire is known in the The Netherlands from the book; Solitaire, written by Dutch author Ton van der Lee who wrote about his stay in the area.
