Tamara Cornell is a young aspiring photographer.
She studied photography in her last year of school in Melbourne, Australia.

Born in Sri Lanka and having lived there for 16 years, Tamara moved to Australia to complete her last two years of school.
Having spent her childhood in Sri Lanka in an International school where subjects were limited, Tamara was overwhelmed by the idea of having the choice of photography as a school subject and chose photography amongst other art subjects.
The results from her first assignment confirmed the passion she had for photography.
Although she spent just a year in the classroom, it was her devotion to the dark room which gave her the drive to further ‘self teach’ herself the more intricate world of photography. She still continues to learn about the photography world and continues to be inspired by other great photographers.

Tamara’s method and style is her own. As her journey through her viewfinder takes her through different paths, she picks up inspiration and turns them into her world.

She was taught with an SLR and her love for the dark room process left her feeling like going digital would take away the ‘magic’ of photography.
Reluctantly, Tamara bought herself a digital camera before venturing on a 9 week overland trip through Africa and has never looked back since.
She still owns her Nikon SLR and always will.
