Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is a brand new temple in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown which really stands out with its impressive architecture. It is called Buddha Tooth Relic Temple because a tooth (discovered by a monk in Burma in 1980), believed to be one of Buddha’s molars, is kept in this building in a 3.6-metre-high golden stupa. The tooth is available for public viewing twice a year, on Buddha’s birthday and the first day of Chinese New Year.
