I wanted a square crop but couldn’t quite make it, the original is below. Dull skies are made up for by the beautiful Autumnal foliage. The foreground felled tree is what foiled my attempt to copy Sutcliffes masterpiece photo, it blocked the view and the water was too deep at the other side of it.

Rigg Mill is near Whitby in the North York Moors National Park.
