Oh MY! Are’nt they strange at this age? Hungry too.
Absolutely fun to raise though.I raised a pair of Great Horned Owls
when I was younger. They had fell from the nest in a storm which destroyed
it.I fed them hamburger and what snakes and mice I could catch them.
They made good pets, for someone who knew how to handle them.LOL!
I turned them over to the National Bird of Prey Society in my home town.
I missed them for a long time. And think of them often to this day. Ha! Is’nt
that silly. Thanks for sharing my friend. Good luck. MMMMMMMMMMWA! :)
Tainia Finlay replied 17 days ago
Hi Michael, yes they look like little budda’s now and are squishy and so delicate to handle!! They’ll be right when they get a few feathers on em’ :D I can’t imagine collecting snakes & mice for Owls!! Burgers I could gather LOL! You did great mate to rescue them & give them such a great start in life. I don’t wonder you would always think of them .. a special time indeed! MMMMMMWA x

At the risk of really pissing you off tai, i have just read that the Green Ring necked Parakeet (I think that is the name) a lovely smallish green parrot from the himalaya, are now fair game and can be shot. Officially they are now a pest in the SE of England…..
Tainia Finlay replied 17 days ago
LOL you don’t piss me off with your news at all Linda :D
Quaker parrots over here are shot as pests in WA, it’s illegal to keep one, and yet all others states you pay $100’s of dollars for one. It’s like houses I guess, all about location!
