In those days cars had their radiator caps on the outside at the front of the bonnet. I remember the Alvis very well (but not from 1933!!!) It was always considered to be in the upper echelon of motor cars. My own first car was from 1933 – a Standard Little 9. I bought it in 1949/50 for just under 50 pounds. In those days petrol was tenpence a gallon. Once, in a moment of extreme recklessness, I got that car up to 50 mph at which time I was going downhill with a strong tail wind!! Those were the days of MOTORING when the done thing was for the driver to wear leather gloves and a scarf flung casually around his neck!! Happy, halcyon days!! LOL Hugs, Peter

Thank you Peter, I love old cars! I was working in an ouback newsagency & noticed someone with an Alvis badge on … when I enquired there were 12 or more Alvises staying at a motel in town for the night on tour. I was invited into the fold, what a fabulous bunch of enthusiasts they were! Look forward to the images, Hugs, Tai x

Thanks so much Michael! I was fortunate to be brought up in this car! The Alvis was sold after the death of my father who actually learned to drive in it and must have covered allmost every by-way in Britain! I have both the Firefly & Hare mascots here with me in Australia. I am delighted you like it and faved it. Your very kind. Tai
