My first memories and love of photography began before I reached 5 years of age. My parents both worked at Madam Beryl’s Photographic Studio in York. We never saw them at weekends they were shooting weddings. Strict instructions “if you enter the darkroom with the red light you can’t come out till the light is turned off” ! I never wanted to leave! ... the magic & joy of seeing images appear before my very eyes was far better, more magical than any rabbit out a hat!!

Years later I built my own darkroom and developed my own images. Around that time I was corporate photographer to Jonathon Palmer (Ex F1 racer) at his prooving ground also at British Grand Prix’s.

My first love in Photography was portraiture, my first camera a Pentax ME Super allowed me to concentrate on this. Just lately I have been concentrating on faces again, I have never met a face I didn’t find beauty, character & intrigue in!
