Apart and Together
Taken from the ‘We Two are One Concept’ this image depicts two women back to back.
This was a sketch I have been working on (suggestive of Matisse’s Blue Nude) that I felt needed to go no further.
A bit of black paint, the use of the ‘We Two Are One’ background and a little bit of photo-manipulation using Corel PSP.
A set of two images depicting relationship: Apart and Together.

Painted in acrylics on 40×30cm 300gsm canvas texture acid-free acrylic paper.

I was working on a sketch ....Matisse inspired and it just wasn’t working out. I black lined the image, played with it in photoshop and mirrored it ….art by default …..not my usual style but I think it works even though it looks a bit clip-art(y)
