Rendered in acrylic on canvas board.

Many thanks to photographer and fellow RedBubbler Mr Tony Ryan for the gracious permission to use his self portrait as my reference image.

Thanks to Tony’s support and belief in my talent I am inspired by his phenomenal talent to become a better artist and to express raw beauty, innocence and power such as I did in this work.

I plan on more works with this feeling incorporating the beautiful human form and the raw magic and power of animals.

Maybe you should put this in the “Creative Inspirations” group which Tony is moderating; I love how you’ve captured the animal instinct in your painting. This reminds me of a project I had in my last school semestre called “The Symbol and Wild Building”. For that groups were assigned an animal and a symbol; and we had to create an installation on the school site which expressed the significance and essence of the symbol and the animal. My group was assigned the elephant and the roof. If you are interested, please feel free to see the documentation of our projects at:

  • Hi Mui Ling, yeah, I have added it to the creative inspirations group but am waiting for Tony to approve or not. He’s busy too, hehe.

Thank you so much for the added information on the study group! That helps a lot. Hugs…
