Original has been sold to a collector in America

Acrylic and impasto on canvas board.

10″ × 8″.

There are 3 images which are designed as a set as shown below.

I wanted to work more with a limited palette. I’ve always loved those old photos that are so full of dreamy softness and beautiful settings.

Image I used for reference is from the wonderful vintage stock of inspyretash-stock.

oh, very nice, i love the eye of horse very much.

  • I’m so glad you noticed that Hidemi, of course you would. Being around horses every day with my job I take notice of their expressions and their eye contact. The shape of a horses eye is so beautiful and so expressive that when you paint it right, it adds absolutely all the character needed to convey the great beauty of the horse.

    Thank you again! Hugs

  • Hugs…yeah hunny, me too and white horses are something special to me. I use to dream of them when I was younger as well as unicorns and such. Then I read the Bible and that passage in revelations about Jesus upon a white horse, blew me away, I felt that He had been with me all my life encouraging me to find Him. So now I love painting white horses and this is a fulfillment of being able to paint them and their beauty…..hugs

Beautiful work Tahnja. It’s interesting to see how you continues the background texture over the dress.

  • Great spotting there Mui-Ling, those sharp eyes of yours always notice the most subtle and interesting things, I love that. Yes, I did continue the texture there as I thought it would look too flat towards the bottom of the painting if I didn’t.

so well done tahnja it’s beautiful and the 3 of them together look fabulous!!

  • Thank you hun! I was a little worried at first when I put them together that maybe they didnt’ work but I think they do but will need to be set apart a little bit. I’d love to see nice decorated gold frames around them….would look so beautiful. I’d frame them but then the cost would rocket as framing is so expensive.

This is my first triptych too. I always wanted to paint a series that went together and it involves more than one would think because you have to make sure the colours remain even throughout and the placement and composition works together…..was a good challenge
