Acrylic on stretched canvas

8″ × 10″

I love taking pictures of the racehorses where I work. This one is a tad special. He has the amazing power and muscle of a fast sprinter and his name is “Shivarchi”. Won his first two starts in lightening style. He’s a stunning boy.

This is the 3rd painting for the abstract Tryptich featuring this racehorse “Shivarchi”.

The title is very apt and the strength here is palpable…unusual viewpoint but a very successful one…great painting as always Tahnja…

  • Hi Janis! I’m a bit of a fan of abstract viewpoints of horses as I find their whole confirmation fascinating. And his tail is so pretty against his dark grey. I love that you can feel the power and strength in his form. Thank you so much :o)

And in racing, it is certainly true that only the strong survive

lovely ponytail – and the legs certainly are an area that reflect strength!

  • His tail is so pretty! When he races, the white just stands out especially as he goes zipping by the field around him lol. He has a particularly strong form which is why I chose him for these abstract pieces. Thanks Mui Ling!
