lol yes indeed my friend! I was so honoured when my wonderful friend shared with me his awesome photos from Italy and wanted me to paint anything that I felt I wanted to from them. I have some stunning shots to work from but wanted to work on the easier landscapes first before I started on more detailed ones

wonderful Tahnja. you are becoming Vincent Van Gogh.
Tahnja replied
Hugs….thank you so much dear friend! Oh if only I were as good as my beloved Van Gogh! I’m still incorporating both styles from Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne but I have to soften the effects or they don’t work together. It’s been such an interesting experiment so far!

Very nice, Tahnja!
Tahnja replied
Les!!! Oh my friend it is so wonderful to hear from you! I’m studying and trying to learn a new skill….I’ve been working on trying to incorporate both the styles of Van Gogh and Paul Cezanne into my impressionist landscapes and so far I’ve learned that I have to soften both effects to make them work and I love the feeling I have when painting these!
Again, wonderful to hear from you!
Alexandra Felgate
WOW, fantastic!!!!! Such delicate impressionistic brushstrokes…..gorgeous work Tahnja!
Tahnja replied
Hi Alexandra! I’m learning so much by allowing myself to flow and feel out where I want the painting to go and it’s such a great feeling! When painting realism and portraits I can get very, very stressed and I have to focus so hard on getting it exactly right but with these it’s all about feeling and flow, it’s been a WONDERFUL experience and I get really excited with each new piece!
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, every little bit helps! q;o)

Michael! Thank you so much! And YES I LOVE Van Gogh and deeply fond of Renoir…I simply must study Renoir’s stunning ability to capture shimmering light, I think once I have painted it then I can achieve it much better…hugs

Wow Tahnja, I love it. I’m so glad you put the photo up too – it gives me an idea of your inspiration and helps me see how to paint creatively. Fantastic!!
Tahnja replied
Seeing the photo really helps to see where I attempted to balance the light and then just let creativity take over…thank you!

Aloha Tahnja, you’re welcome :))
It is a very beautiful work of art and I adore the colours.
Tahnja replied
You know, I am only now studying impressionism in landscape and when I see the amazing impressionists on RB I feel like I still fall short of the mark so far and so wide that I have to remind myself that I’m still learning. So thank you again for appreciating my efforts thus far, it is so encouraging!
God bless you and His love to you always my friend!
