Take Up Your Arms!

Hugs dear friend! The minute I saw this photo from the stock photographer I knew immediately that I had to paint it. I love the intensity and the great faith and intent that pours forth from the image. I again used a limited palette and kept it very simple but powerful.

I kept looking at it thinking that somehow I had managed to make it look like the Lord is manifesting behind her even more than when I sketched it. Yes, I would have to agree that it appears that the mist is the manifestation of Christ as He comes to battle for a soul….hugs..thank you!

Hi Collin! No, I paint directly onto my acrylic paper and although it will buckle it does flatten out fairly quickly. Thank you for your really wonderful compliment, I appreciate it so much as I do work very hard on all my pieces
