lol, oh no, it is complicated I know and believe me, I had to learn this process slowly and painfully and I just keep trying but yes, you do have to be able to apply the knowledge. Some artists won’t touch colour as it’s just beyond them and are strictly pencil artists and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m a lazy artist in that way, I hardly sketch or draw anything unless it’s for a painting

Look, I wasn’t always this good, none of us are, we have to be willing to learn, read a lot, study a lot and apply what we learn until we get better and better. Not everything I do is brilliant. Sometimes I just don’t get it quite right and that can be really upsetting but I keep trying knowing I’m not a machine that pumps out perfection all the time.

Be kind to yourself and be willing to grow all the time. I can make some brilliant book suggestions to you if you would like to learn more? Let me know
