A dream of a winding road above water….experiment, my 1st big painting on canvas so lots of deifferent techniques used….
attempts at painting wrinkles in material, I painted towells that were on the floor by looking at them and following the creases and folds and blurring my eyes then tryed to paint the colors of my closeline so i could hang the towells and to try and make a Australiana surrealismo painting and because it was a windy day and towells were blowing on the line, howling westerley she was….
the Y symbol holding the eyes up is the same Y symbol from a few of my other paintings, the Y symbol symbolizes the power of the question “why?” because if no one asked why? no one would learn, why eyes? you might ask, and i would reply “Yes i am”..
a big wave sesh was attempted and poorly executed. Oh yeah the big wave sesh turned into a bird like thing, the foam on the inside of the session is it’s head, the line of reef where the waves break is it’s neck, one wing is a wave, the other is a is a mountain, it’s feet turn into clouds and whitewash, then you are at the bottom of the mountains in the calm water to the left and might ocean to the right,
then from there you float up with hot air balloons through clouds then under the ? ummm? the thing with the little tree soaking up the sunlight and the close line is on then fly away over the ocean towards the escarpment…
a leaf flew into the garage, i painted the shadow of the leaf, leaf turned into a sail of a sail boat, then i realised the boat was huge compared to a hot air balloon but who cares? it adds charm…
