when I look at this ,our new wall..I can picture it in a beautiful church..I am so rapt with the results of this wall..it’s exciting and satisfying ..I just hope a priest might come along and say he wants it for his church
this will look fabulous when completely finished..and in a garden setting would look unique.

Looking through venetian blinds is a small acrylic painting
with a few layers of shellac which I mix up myself from those beautiful beetle saliva and wings …thankyou bettles for beautiful shellac! I added some extra light to this painting in photo shop as it was so very dark due to the many layers of laquer.I like the way some planets appear on her body as if she is looking through the blinds and the planets are reflecting back on her.

I love this angle, it shows the carving of the tiles beautifully, Catherine, and also the gorgeous glazes. Wow! So impressive and utterly gorgeous!
Thankyou so much ..yes I think this is a good shot..the carving is pronounced and looks so good..even if I say so myself
and I think the colours turned out just how I imagined then to be, or how I wanted them..sometimes it’s difficult to paint with underglazes because the colour changes after firing ..so I had to be a step ahead of the firing.

hha!!..I’m so glad that you like this walt..I’m very suprised by our work sometimes..almost like it could have come from another era..it might have time travelled..hha!
and it wanted to be created..I was so rapt to see how good the tiles worked..and when we put some together like this I was rapt!
we still have another section to do..and there is a missing saint..so will show you when it’s fully completed..but so far so good

Brilliant bravo, all your hard work has paid off Catherine.I know what you mean about the colours changing through the firing process….sometimes it’s as you want,a disaster or a pleasant surprise!!
