the sacred lemon tree painting..

I couldn’t wait to show this one because I really like it ..even though it still needs some flowers included in the painting and I’m going to pick some of those lemons and give them away.. ( I’m painting a few out of the picture ASAP) ther’es far too many lemons on this tree.. It takes me a while to see that.. but a painter only listens to his inner voice and this painting will be a real beauty when It’s finally finished.
thanks for viewing it.

THE SACRED LEMON TREE .

My father has a lemon tree that my sister elizabeth aptly named “the sacred lemon tree”
It’s a magical lemon tree ..it’s been growing for more than 38 years and should have died off by now as lemon trees usually only live for a certain number of years 15-20 years I’ve been told..dad has looked after this tree so well..and we enjoy our time picking the ripe fruit and they are so wonderful..the aroma of the ripe lemons ..the flowers and the fruit is something unforgettable as we all know and the uses for the humble lemon are inumerable. a bitter fruit yet so healing and so lovely ..hence the name of “The scared lemon tree” ..we miss his lemons when there are no fruits on the tree..and look forward to the bounteous crops when it does fruit ..a number of times in the year .
I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I do..though the photos not great quality I’ll take some more pics of this one soon.
