look after yours..I tried to grow one ..never had much luck ..and they are meant to be so easy to grow.

Thanks heaps tahnja..well I can’t seem to grow one yet..
..I tried two already and this one now is a dwarf sized one that might give me a lemon every 5 years..hha!!!! it used to give me a few..but I think it’s dying now ..I’ve had it for nearly 20 years…so will have to get a pile of tips from dad the wise old gardener.

hhha!! thanks trena thankyou so much ..strange how this one started off so different to how it is now..a completely different painting underneath it ..and I should have taken a photo of that one..oh well..

I know now that I’ve put far to many lemons in the tree in this one it looks too crowded but It takes looking at it for some time until I can see all the mistakes….so I’m going to make it look even better by picking off some of those lemons..I’ll send you a few OK..hha!!

I’m really pleased that people like this one..my husband is not too impressed with it..though he usually likes what I paint..but that;s OK ..because I like it and that’s all that really matters!
I was thinking of giving this one to my father for his 80th birthday that’s coming up soon..though he likes more traditional style paintings..I’m sure he’d love this one.

do you have a lemon tree ?..we just planted one ..I had a small one that lasted for about 20 years in a pot..we kept planting it in the ground then changing it back to the pot ..year in year out..no wonder it only gave me a few lemons..this time we planted and it will stay in the ground..hopefully I’ll get a tree full of lemons in a few years time ..they are meant to be so easy to grow..and my fathers has really been been a magic lemon tree
your preserve sounds lovely..well done

another great thing to make is indian lemon pickle..wonderful stuff!!
I noticed in some of your pics you have a beautiful bushy garden you’ll have to show more of that garden when you can OK ..gorgeous!

you’ll really have to get a pic of that lemon tree..I’d love to see it..I beleive they do have a lot of strength ..and they struggle to survive against all odds.

true story:
I bought a little lemon tree about 20 years ago and we planted it in a pot.. I cared for it really well (probably too much )it gave me just a couple of lemons ..so I thought I’d better plant it in the ground..it didn’t do well there..so I put it back in the pot..the poor thing went from ground to pot for about 15 years..and no wonder I never got many lemons. ..we also had to keep cutting away all the dead branches ..so it really looked a bit like a very sick stick in the end..hha!
about 4 weeks ago we took it from the ground again and planted it back in a pot because it looked so dead..we had to cut off nearly all the main branches.. and this time I cut some of the roots..thinking that i’ll turn it into a bonsai..after all it was 20 years old or more..
a good start for a bonsai..lo and behold about 2 weeks ago it has come back to life..it’s sprouting green leaves all over the very few branches that remain ..so I’m really looking forward to what it does next..a minature miracle lemon tree to me.. my poor baby ..but it’s still got life even after all it’s been through …a good lesson for me maybe..and what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger!!!
