Clinch the ego-seed of ill begotten brethren
Within spirited hands oh gifted one
As you sift your way through
Confines of his inner anguish
Disavowing the self by such creeds
Unwittingly now shown as your own

For you the lady of liberty and of life’s requisite
To all prevailing self-injustice do conspire
Within your discerning heart
To unmake his former elation
A beacon of lost light by all which
You abhor within him

Set the flame against him
By winds set forth
And by breaths breathed in anger and anguish
For surely maligned he is pinnacle to your impregnable disdain

Loathe him in red reproach
And of a diamond’s opulence
For surely he is but a cordoning recess
To currents of your blatant and outward dismay
For you the harbinger to such bitter recourse
Do ineptly boast sin upon your recurrent, quickening pulse

Color him as you with each stroke do wield yourself
With but pastels of unenviable hue—
He the somber canvas thus overshadowed
By the distention of your own blinding device

And still you prevail
By the unyielding fragility of his greater yearnings
For the good you’ve rebuked by all which you set forth
In such outright anger
Sets you beneath its greater distinguishable light

Yet still he sees
But only the heart of your wayward eyes
And the character of certainty he knows you currently deplore
But for his own imperfection
Thus relinquished to that of your own
You now and forever as but a mere
Nucleus to all that ever is and was
Of your own inner most dissension
Henceforth shown brightly

Femme Fatal' -- Giver Taker Provider of Ill Begotten Impropriety

This was written for a friend who has recently split from her husband and in her anger and haste now presumes to know all and one men alike.
She now lives in utter disenchantment through the eyes of dismay and thus chooses to project such anger forth unto all unsuspecting would be lovers.
If only she would simply close her eyes to anger and open her heart to love again no doubt the very emotions she claims no man could possibly hold are the same ones she currently withholds while exuding the same inner ugly child she herself has set her course against.

When we, men and women alike presume to know what it takes to be the other in anger and thus project said anger outwardly are we doing nothing more than exuding our own.

Hence, this particular piece was written for her through the eyes of an unbiased witness who happens to love her dearly.

Oh wow Steve – man have you nailed it. This is so common when people turn inward and can’t see past their own acts of choice. Bro – you and I must talk sometime. The music, life observations gained from living, love for fellow people….we are pals that see allot are we not?

    Wonderful piece my friend,

    Rog

Thank you Rog…..yes we should indeed talk sometime man. I just see no point in this one and only life to remain jaded. I mean sure it’s ok to get angry as we all do, but to harbor that and let it fester into subsequent emotional states is simply lunacy as I see it. the point here being to simply let it go man!

Thank you Arnold….and I wouldn’t fret the vocabulary. Your mind and heart speak volumes brother…
You need not take notice of anyone in the writing realm as your own is as good as anyones I’ve seen. Vocabulary does not equate to good writing.
I think most of us tend to wish others abilities upon ourselves, it’s a natural thing, but unwarranted.

Forthwith her torment shall brand all those of his ilk…. perceived in her sense of truth as a mechanism to withstand her barren heart.

Steve, this piece is very thought provoking…..
