Wow you’ve been busy… I had a look and it all made good sense to me.. now start doing tutorials for Photoshop..lol. Well done :-)

I am so glad thank you Jason!
I was hoping that it is easy for the ones with only a little experience :-))

The tutorial is excellent Sylvia and makes perfect sense the only fault, if it is a fault, is having to click on the image each time to view the process. I have a couple of tutorials on my web site Click Here were I use a software called screen steps to create the tutorial and include the images, the software will also let you grab snaps of the process as you go along. It’s cheap but effective worth a look at least. Hope this helps Sylvia.

Thank you so much for that Alan. I think paintshop is just that little bit easier then photoshop? I have worked in photoshop, but I do not own my own copy. I have had one given to me when I was in college, but it isn’t legal, and I won’t use photoshop until maybe I afford one for myself?

Thank you so much for that link and the advise Brian, which is very much appreciated! I tried to keep the written explanation as simple and to the point as possible, and I know it must be a anoing at times to keep going back and too?
I am just hoping for the more serious students, that hopefully they don’t mind that side of it, but I will keep it in mind for the future, when I can look at it all again?

I’m impressed Sylvia…not just with your tutorial, but the talent that created that amazing image! Well done…you will go a long way with your photography.

Beautifully explained in simple terms that anyone can understand, congratulations.
ps: I also use Paint Shop Pro and find it very good. The latest edition X2 has an excellent HDR tool which I think creates very natural looking results.
Cheers

I thought it was very well presented, and clear and logical.
Q: when you did your free hand selection around the swans, are you using a graphic tablet or mouse? I find doing mouse selections almost impossible. If you are using a GT it might be worth mentioning.

Superb thanks Sylv your the BEST!!! Frank xx

Thank you David for that! I personally use the mouse and have no problems with using it. But if you prefer using a graphic tablet to a mouse? That is down to personal choice I feel.
The most important thing to me is that the technique in paintshop is understood?

great job sylvia well explained too .

Thank you so much Camerashy. I did use X2 in a triel period and found I could have too much software on my computer which I already have, lol but would hate to loose because some of them I wouldn’t be able to get anymore, like Rawshooter.
But it is worth the money for anyone who is looking to buy a software to have a look at Paintshop pro X2 if they want to keep the cost to a minimum.
So, thank you for that also Camerashy :-))
