Classic !! Beautiful capture and work! Looks great in the frame as well with black borders. Which part of England is this? Regards

  • SylviaHardy replied

Hi Mutahir! I am not exactly shure where about this house is as we were driving around everywhere. But it is through Clitheroe through Slaidburn and all the little country lanes. Propably part of the Forrest of Bowland!

This is so beautiful Sylvia…your timing was perfect to capture that glorious light! If I may make a suggestion, I think if you cloned out the power lines and road markings it would give the image a timeless feel.

Lovely shot I know this road well ,passed through many a time.

  • SylviaHardy replied

Thank you Irene for your lovely feedback! Is it in the Forrest of Bowland?

  • Irene Burdell replied

I don’t think it is that far . The Forest of Boland is more heading towards Lancaster.,but it is in that vacinity.it will only be a few miles away.

  • SylviaHardy replied

Thank you Irene! It was Mutahir who asked me were it was?

Wonderful light quality and composition. This image has an HDR signature on it, Am I correct? Love the soft pastel colors and the slightly visible rays of light. Well captured and processed.

  • SylviaHardy replied

Hi Eyal! You are correct in sugesting it has been HDR worked! I do most of my reasont images HDR, but they all turn out a little different. Also I have cropped that photograph just for you. Let me know what you think, won’t you? Thank you for your lovely comments too, which is very much appreciated!

  • Eyal Nahmias replied

This is usually what happens with HDr it takes a fine tone mapping at times to adjust the colors, luminosity and contrast, but the outcome is always impressive as seen here. I love the comp. Just right.

nice.. your work takes the mundane and ordinary and gives it a boost. You are making me homesick for England!

Well done… I would be tempted to burn the clouds a but darker to emphasize the rarity of the sunlight, but it is nonetheless a lovely imahe

This feels like ‘home’. Dry stone walls, stone built cottages.. it’s the essence of the Ribble Valley.
