Chapter-17-Falling. (Cussing is in here)

I wanted to hug Aiden. Instead, he turned around and walked over to Casey, helping him up. Jared looked back at me with a face that said, “please be careful.” I nodded and watched as they fought their way through the capes. The trap door snapped shut and I looked back at the doors to the room. Then I heard a hissing sound coming from the trap door.

I looked back at it and a cloaked creature was crawling from it and then a sound like an explosion came from behind me. I looked back and saw saw dust and chunks of wood hurling past me. Even though the wood and splinters were scattering and coming towards me they were sent around me like a protective orb was surrounding me. Tristan came walking out of the mess, walking towards me, glowering. I looked him in the eye.

I’m not scared of him. I’m not scared of him. I repeated to myself.

“You have gotten on my last nerve.” He finally said when he reached me. I looked at him, accomplished. His eyes were starting to turn more of a gold burgundy.

“You’re just pissed because you can’t have me.” I replied. He grabbed a handful of my hair and brought me closer.

“You think you’re so damn smart, don’t you?” I fought back the urge to shake my head yes. “I’m sure Aiden has spoiled the surprise. Not like you had any choice or opinion in the matter. You will be my wife and you will not cause me any trouble.”

“If I don’t have a choice then why do you punish them? Why can’t you just let them go?” He started to speak, but I interrupted them. “Early wedding gift?” His face was unreadable, but I knew I had him wrapped around my finger. I started working it in my head. Only if Sam worked with me.

He grabbed my forearm and drug me with him. a sound of scraping against stone ground came from the ground as we walked. I looked down and saw the scattered wood move away from us as we walked, forming a path. I looked up at him. I had to start playing the game.

In the room, there wasn’t a trap door, a window, or any escape. He had sent a maid to “fix me up”. She was a younger girl around my age with blonde hair, pale skin with pale blue eyes. She was relatively pretty, but frightening. She didn’t talk and neither did I.

It took a while to get everything on and just right, but when I saw myself in the mirror I was amazed. The bruises on my neck were now covered with red ringlets that hung lightly over my shoulders. The dress she put me in was a strapless, burgundy dress that cut off below my knees. She hid any cuts or injuries that I had with powder foundation and did my eye liner perfectly.

I looked at her and she lowered her head. “Can I ask you something?” She looked up briefly. “Why do I have to get dressed up?” She shook her head. “Yeah.” I muttered, looking back at the mirror.

She walked to the door with her head down then looked back at me. I walked with her out the door, down the stairs and into a large room which I figured was one of many great rooms. Tristan stood in the center of the room, looking accomplished. He stared into my eyes like in the movies when the vampire hypnotizes the girl.

“You look astounding, Terrie.” He said to me as my foot landed on the last step.

“Mhm.” I growled, glaring. In my head I was beating the living crap out of him.

“Come, my dear.” He offered his hand. I didn’t move.

“Where is Sam and the rest?” I asked, giving him the look my bus driver always gave me.

“Well, that’s where we’re going. I had my men gather them up to meet us. Come, I’ll show you.” His arm was still extended.

“If they have even more bruises and are in your torture chambers,” I walked up and got in his face. “I will kill you.” He lifted an eyebrow and put his arm down. His eyes were back to being the black abyss.

“I highly doubt you can kill me,” he put his hand on my cheek and I swatted it away. He looked at me coldly. “but since you insist on their health so terribly, I’ll see what I can do.” Liar. You want Sam’s head on large stick.

Tristan turned around on his heels and I followed him down a large hallway numbered with large, disturbing portraits of screaming women with one or two male vampires with bloodied mouths at their necks. I looked at Tristan. “If you expect me to walk down this hallway everyday, your on high powered drugs.” Tristan laughed, but I wasn’t kidding.

Three curves and the last and only door at the end of the hallway. Chamber door with multiple locks. Tristan turned the gold, antique handle and opened the door.

My heart was thudding against my ribcage. Oh, Sam. All six boys were standing in the center of the large room with the same expression as they were surrounded by the cloaked figures, who were staring them down. Sam and Aiden looked up at me and the rest were watching Tristan.. intensely.

“Hello, boys.” Tristan said, walking through the door. Sam looked like he went through a grinding machine and came out in one piece, Aiden looked like he just got off from having a job at a slaughter house, Jared and Casey had a few more bruises and Derrick and Jeffri had cuts from their ankles to their face. I just wanted to hug them all and tell them how much I truly missed them.

“Terrie, are you okay?” Sam asked and Tristan whipped his head from Sam to me.

“Of course she’s fine!” Tristan yelled. I glowered at Tristan and looked back at Sam.

“Shut up, Tristan.” Aiden shot back at him. A dull hissing sound came from one of the cloaked figures. I thought it was Jabez. Tristan moved so fast towards Aiden that I didn’t even see it. Tristan smacked him across his face and Aiden leaped out and attacked him.

Ha, I didn’t have to do it for once, I said to myself. Hissing and scratching filled the room and everyone was on top of each other, yelling, ripping, punching, kicking, everything and everyone.

The hissing filled my head to where I couldn’t concentrate or think. I gripped the wall next to me for support. One part of me was already in the fight and the other part of me was screaming them to stop.

Please stop, I begged. Please, please, please stop. Then whispers came into my head, so light that they seemed velvety and soft, but could be heard and everything just stopped and seemed like slow motion. Almost like a film, but you didn’t have control.

She’s mine, all mine, said one voice in a whisper.

How can I get everyone out of here? What’s-, another voice said.

What did Vyncent teach us? Derrick I need you over here, help m-, called another voice. I saw Derrick slowly jump across Sam’s back and land on a cloaked creature as Sam raised his arm up to punch another cloaked figure. I closed my eyes, feeling sick.

God, Terrie needed me and where was I? How could I have left and-, another voice.

Kill, kill, kill.. screeched a voice, loudly and it echoed in my head.

“You…” Said a voice in my ear. I opened my eyes and suddenly everything started speeding up. Feet were flying everywhere and arms were grabbing and swinging faster than they were a minute ago.

I turned to look who pulled me out of the trance and a fist hit my back as a leg went under me. I fell backwards with a thud and my head hit the ground, making my eyes snap shut. I groaned and looked up. Nick was smiling up at me, evilly. “You son of a bitch.” I grunted. A head ache made its way to the back of my head.

He grabbed me by the shoulders and thrust me up on my feet. I caught myself before I fell face forward and he grabbed me by the back of the neck. I yelled out as he pressed harder. The blood that pulsed through my veins pumped slower and slower as I felt myself starting to pass out. Blackness started seeping into sight and I felt the urge to lay down, but I was held up by Nick’s hand.

“Not so feisty now are you, you whore?” Nick whispered into my ear.

“LET GO OF HER!” Sam yelled out.

“That’s enough, Nicholas.” Tristan said, lightly. Nick’s hand released me and I coughed, clutching my throat and falling to my knees. I looked up and saw that each of the cloaked figures had a guy in their arms, who were fighting fiercely against their grasp. I was breathing hard and looked over at Tristan. You’re fixing to make me your wife without my say and you’re not trying to kill this damn bastard? I yelled at him with my mind.

Tristan walked over to me calmly and put his hand under my arm, pulling me up to my feet. I looked back at Nick like a dog ready to rip his throat out. He smirked.

“AHHH!” I screamed out and jerked quickly from Tristan and lashed out at Nick. I landed on him, sending both of us to the ground, me on top. I only got to punch and scratch him a countable number of times before Tristan was sending to the other wall.

“I SAID ENOUGH!” Tristan yelled at me and Nick. Nick had a face of shock. Aiden was laughing to himself as was three others. Sam and Jared watched Nick with devil eyes.

“Now,” Tristan muttered, walking towards me and wiping a strand of hair back from my face. I flinched from him. He grabbed my hand and refused to let go. “My fiance,” I looked away from the group. “has agreed to be my wife…and let your mob go.” I could feel Sam watching me.

“Terrie..” Sam muttered and I closed my eyes.

“Now get out.” Tristan said in a forceful tone. I looked at him and he was smiling triumphantly at Sam’s pain. I felt tears wanting to come as I looked back at Sam. He looked like he was shaking, but wouldn’t look at me. The cloaked figures started moving them and Sam looked up at his creature like it said something crazy.

“Let go of me!” Sam yelled at it then looked at me.

“Sam..” I muttered.

“Terrie, don’t do it! Don’t worry about me, just get out of here!” He kept yelling down the hall and I watched with tears streaming down.

“Terrie, you don’t have to do this.” Aiden said, watching me as he passed.

“You really don’t. He’s a dick, Terrie. You don’t deserve this.” Said Jared, who was being pushed behind Aiden.

“I looove youu.” Casey said, looking up at the creature with loving eyes. I smiled through the tears.

“Your sick!” Derrick yelled out at Tristan, veins bulging from his head and neck. Jeffri just watched me, giving me a sympathy look. I busted out crying and tried to fight against Tristan. I could hear Sam yelling out for me.

“God damn you!” I screamed out in Tristan’s face. He looked at me like he hated me. He pulled me to him as his eyes softened. I tried to beat away from him, but eventually just gave up and cried into his chest.
