I so like the way you portrayed the fog in this painting. I live in an area well known for fog during winters in Northern California so I am very familiar with the sight, smell and feel of fog. I can feel the fog in your painting. Fog leaves you feeling quite isolated from everything. You’ve captured that feeling as well.

  • Many thanks Karirosefor taking the time to comment.I remember the fog from my youth when i lived in near the banks of the river Tyne in north east England..In those long ago days it was the hub of heavy industry. The fog was horrendous you could taste it as well as smell it.Everyone had coal fires along with the local steel works ,shipyards, etc it was not very pleasent ,but nostalgia is a funny old thing.I have lived on the coast for many years now and we still get a lot of sea mist..My apologies for rambling on

No need to apologize about rambling. It is all very interesting and gives a little perspective to the painting as well. :)
