Why hopeless?Very atmospheric painting, love the light coming in, that’s why the title confuses me.
This is fantastic Peter, very powerful, love the lights & shadows, magnificent. Is he in a prison cell?
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment pinkyjain
this is very sad, great work as usual, very evocative.
Thank you so much for your nice comment genevieve.Hope springs eternal
OK, from the last reaction here I see your point. Well, after writing my last comment I thought: well, it’s a senatorium or a prison… but, still – is it really hopeless? I guess I am more of an optimist than I realized ;-) I used to be suicidal once, mind you.
Many thanks for taking the time to comment Gill…Assuming you are still with us of course…(sorry not funny) Talking of not being funny my wife and i were having dinner with some friends last night and i was reminded of the time many years ago when we went to visit my dad who was on his deathbed…My wife said to him ohh you do not look well….NOT FUNNY
I am currently studying this painting by Frank Bramley A hopeless dawn, I am a big fan of the original but I love your interpretation on the piece.
Well, I think I still look quite well… at least I HOPE so;-)
Thank you Gili…. Yes you do….
