I AM NOT AN ARTIST I AM JUST A MAN WHO PAINTS.L.S.LOWRY).... I have been painting as an amateur artist on and off for many years.I have over the years developed a very unusual use of colour and content, which I now know from experience appeal to many people, Including individual collectors and dealers. Newcastle upon Tyne England has been a hotbed of heavy Industry since the beginning of the industrial revolution, most of which has now gone forever. A lot of my paintings are recollections of youthful images of the period, late 1940s and 1950s. They are inspired by local naïve and primitive pitmen artists I am also an admirer of L.S.LOWRY, and the great American artist EDWARD HOPPER .AND GRANMA MOSES among others. My Welsh grandmother had a poss tub and a mangle – happy days … well, for me as a boy, not for her working hard at the mangle :)
