Unloved

This writing was ‘inspired’ by a personal experience, although the last thing I want is to refer it as inspirational from all the hurt I got out of it… But it flowed from whatever pieces of my heart that was left – it helped me to understand and learn, and I hope others can relate to it too.

She’s lost her sense of worth.
All she’s left now is an empty shell.
A limp doll chucked in a corner,
Devoid of emotion.
Love her and she can’t feel it. Hurt, she’s hurt.
She wants to cry but no one hears.
She wants to talk but no one listens.

She’s left on the shelf,
Her owner doesn’t want her anymore.
All the love she felt,
Turned out to be a dream,
A dream she didn’t want to get up from.

So this is real,
This is what it’s really like.
Everything she thought would happen
But refused to believe in,
Is becoming true.

A doll.
A thing.
An object.
Temporary.
That’s what she is.
Temporary.Do you love her?

No, you don’t.
