Haha, you’ve got to give this a subtitle, Reminiscence of Good Old Days! Those young pears seem to be really impressed by the big one!

I think you might be right, Ujean. This might be another one of those gags understood only by those who were subjected to American culture very early on…or maybe whose first language is English. I think Karin (down in Australia) is familiar with the meme to which I am alluding. (See my comment to Ellen)

Hahaha!! I didnt know joining the gift basket is like being awarded a war medal !! CUTE, love it Tom!! :D

Thank you, Ellen! :) Are you familiar with the old story people in the US to commonly hear (here in the US) about kids “running off to join the circus”? That’s what this one’s is based on. :)

Nope Tom…not familiar, I appreciate more explanation here :D So it was a cool thing to join the circus in the god old days?? :D

  • Swisstoons replied

No one ever actually did it. It was more along the lines of a cultural tale that probably goes all the way back to the mid-1800’s (...when I was just a kid. Hahaha. You’d have to read my Zazzle “About” to understand what I’m referring to, here.)

Thank you very much, Rain! You’ve got lots of good stuff on your own site…..even a bit of history.
That’s a detail from the depiction of a bit of Custer’s Last Stand by one of the survivors from the winning side, I believe. Excellent. :)
