Artist's Description

Wasp was approaching over church from west and the biplane was doing touch and go’s on the north /south runway and appear to have just not seen each other . Contact occurred roughly where they are located which is level with the crash gate nearest the church in Yeovilton village , a lady passenger in the Stolp was taken away in the air ambulance . A piece of rotor blade hit and smashed a stone flower trough outside the front door of my mate Dave’s neighbour’s house approximately 300 yds from the crash site . Dave arrived home less than a minute after the event and crossed the path of this debri !! In a conversation with fire staff ( who incidentally were not on scene for a period estimated at 20 minutes ) he was told that there were no Air traffic control on duty as it was all public flights that day ! The debris is now guarded awaiting investigation .
