What a waste of time

I’ve noticed that a lot of group moderators want people to include camera settings and exposure info with photos that are submitted to the groups.I know this is a “time honored tradition” among photographers but if you think about it, it really is pointless. Even if you want to duplicate a shot that was already taken, none of the exposure info will be relevant because the lighting will NEVER be exactly the same. This is especially true with outdoor photography. Even with studio photography, unless absolutely EVERYTHING in the studio set-up is exactly the same as before exposure info is totally irrelevant. If you disagree with me let me know why, and give me an example of when someone else’s exposure info helped you with a shot.
