Buttermilk Falls
Actually after researching it, there are dozens and dozens of falls in the US that are named “Buttermilk Falls”. I guess it’s popular name for a waterfall. This particular one, at the breathtaking Tillman’s Ravine area of Stokes State Forest Preserve in northwestern New Jersey, is a true sight to behold. The waterfalls themselves are a series of smaller falls cascading almost 90 feet down the side of Tillman’s Ravine, which has become the favorite place of mine to shoot in northern NJ. This image was captured at the end of the day after a series of very strong spring storms occurred, so the flows were quite intense.
