Colourful Water Lily, berthed beneath the blue sky.
Strong, alive growing with the sun’s loving rays.
With a girl’s heart, innocent and true…..the woman loves him.
His laughter, sorrow, loving heart….she feels, connects with, knows.
Windy waters at times, stir petals in motion…
Nature’s breezy vulnerable momentary dance ensues.
A closer look…a knowing look…reveals the penetrable surface.
Downward, inward … the source
Spirit, senses, soul.
There…
Roots marry earth…anchored, unswaying, unmoving.

Glad the imagery comes through in this Roger….actually I awas depicting simultaneous energies….above and below….what is visible what isn’t….and the journey in the connections…on many levels and in many ways.
Thank you for your encouraging comment – I am truly humbled.

Of course you were in a beautiful place while writing this wonder! What a great image!

  • Suzanne German replied

Hi Lori – well it’s interesting your comment…I think this piece talks about how multi-dimensional people like flowers can be….sometimes the wind comes along and stirs up what seems placid and stayed…and at these times the dance can bring fargility and vulnerability….hence the petals dancing and waters swirling…..nature is liek this…with plants, with people animals…
But the water does settle again and beneath its surface, hopefully, for those who know….can be found the roots planted in the earth.
Thanks for your lovely comment and for adding this to your favourites – glad it gave you pleasure to read.

This is lovely :) I’ve always loved the imagary of heart and soil together. I have a piece that uses this as well (although differently). I’ll have to try to find it. I was also struck by “Spirit, senses, soul.” because it could be its own sentence as well—very nice.

  • Suzanne German replied

rosabelbelieve – i’m glad you got something out of this…yes heart and soil are a strong visual…tenacious yet yielding.
I would be interested to see your piece…is it written or photgraphy/art?
    thanks s
