Inspiration

Have spent some days at home, healing physically, pondering spiritually, and trusting the process…

This morning I opened a little book I keep upstairs, a book of inspiring quotes and little stories written by various people who have experienced many things….

I held a thought in mind, then opened the book to see what it would reveal, and this is what popped out at me:-

Time is an invention.
Now is a reality.
So much creativity is happening
For the simple reason that we
Have withdrawn ourselves from past and future.

Our whole energy remains blocked,
Either in the past
Or in the future.

When you withdraw all your energy
From past and future
A tremendous explosion happens.

That explosion is creativity.

The Daffodils -

A little trip down memory lane and nostalgia. A childhood favourite I committed to memory aged 10.

The Daffodils

I wandered, lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils.
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milkyway
They stretched in never ending line
Along the margin of a bay.

Ten thousand saw I, at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced,
But they outdid the sparkling waves in glee
A poet could but not be gay
In such a jocund company.

I gazed, and gazed, but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.

For oft’ when on my couch i lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flash upon tha…

Little Angel

Today, I came home from work, looked at the usual assortment of letters and other mail behind the door, then spotted a little square envelope with familiar handwriting.
I quickly gathered the shopping bags, closed the door and bundled up the mail. When I got to the kitchen and set everything down, I couldnt tear the envelope open.

The envelope said it had been to another address mistakenly first, so this precious little package had travelled around the houses for a while! Carefully using a pair of scissors, I cut through the sealed envelope which was glued tight.

When I opened the envelope, tears sprung to my eyes and I got the most beautiful surprise when I saw a card with a photograph on it of…

*The most beautiful little Angel. A little baby girl named Carla!

I hope the world will…

Ships, Family and Maltese History.

I shared a little family history today, actually in a comment about one of Anthony Vella’s images in the ‘All Things Maltese’ Group here on redbubble, and he sent me an bubblemail saying that the ‘German’ Ship building not only dates back hundreds of years in Malta, but is a part of the island’s history.

So, me being curious, I went and looked it up on Google – I typed in Salvatore German ( my great grandfather’s name), and the first thing that came up was this:-

If you type Salvatore German into Google or pop the above link into your browser – you can read a bit about it…well I did and it was nice…

FEATURED Artists from - All Things Poetic, Artisitic & Philosophical Group - (On the RedBubble Home Page for Writing)

I was recently invited to compile a Featured Page for the redBubble Feartured Page on Writing and I have selected the following pieces from the All Things Poetic, Artisitic & Philosophical group:-

Fall Down On Me Like Rain – Photobloke

This poem is powerful, deeply evocative, intense and yet gentle. It is written from the perspective of the admirer who relates with touching depth his responses to what he observes as desire and need in the loved one he writes of. The reader gets the sense that the author has almost merged with the object of his affections. I found this a profoundly moving poem, with an almost hypnotic lingering impact. A fine example of dazzling literary style!

Because It’s Over – Paul Louis Villani – (Listen to the song while you read this)
