Manipulated photography. Using the GIMP program.
It took two days to put this photograph together, as i was waiting for the paint to dry.. seriously! I first took a tube of acrylic paint and squeezed it into the shapes I wanted for the paint droplets. I then had to wait until it dried and carefully lift it off the pallet. Being a plastic paint it was then easy to manipulate into the shapes I wanted. I then photographed the rose with paint arranged and used a painting tool on my computed to manipulate the petal to look as if the rose and paint were joined.
The idea for this image came from the classic “Alice in Wonderland.”
