“I should have been a pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors of silent seas”
– T.S. Eliot, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
It’s considered bad form to confuse the author of a literary work with the narrative voice he uses for artistic purposes…but T.S. Eliot looks so very dyspeptic, I have done a little surgery and placed his head on the body of a crab. At least he can hold a pen in one of those formidable claws.
