Tin soldier standing on the St. Crispian’s Day speech from Shakespeare’s Henry the Fifth. This speech is an extraordinarily beautiful piece of propaganda, and an early example of the trope about “you cowards are free to leave at any time”, required in most films concerned with heroism in battle.

I have also used this tin soldier as inspiration for a t-shirt.

Hello, I have been drawing and writing since I could hold a pencil. I began as an old school printmaker, worked as a graphic designer, and then spent time in editorial illustration. Found in my Art Lab are Frankenstein marriages of flora and fauna, sweet and monstrous, people and animals, big and little – surrealism with a sense of humor.
