Cast The First Stone

With the recent Supreme Court decision in California turning over the ban on ‘Gay’ marriages, I cannot help but reflect on the folks in Texas, the FLDS, who have been ‘exposed’ by the legal system as being outside of the law.

It is interesting to note that the lifestyle that they have chosen is one that resounds and resides throughout many cultures and lands on this planet.

Yes, some of us live in a land called ‘America’, and because of that, what they have chosen is labeled ‘illegal’. Is this right? Can we do this? Legally?

Yes, there are laws against fornication with minors in ‘America’. Yes, there are laws against ‘polygamy’, in ‘America’. And, yes, there have been, and are yet, laws against same sex marriages, in ‘America’.

What is the difference? It is a life choice for these people. Why do some think that they have the right to dictate lifestyle? Does not the decision in California for the same sex couples have a bearing on this? I think so.

It is my opinion that these families should be allowed to continue as they are. Who are we to say that they are wrong? Did not even the Christ say that we are not to judge? Folks, think about it. Let these kind people go their way. They have done no wrong.

Much like the woman at the well.

And he who is without sin, cast the first stone…..

Blessings to all…..
